A second roundup will follow later tonight or possibly in the morning, with Jason Segel at the Critics’ Choice Awards, Neil’s pre-SNL press, and a bunch of other stuff.
This week’s OK Magazine contains an item on Josh Radnor and Lindsay Price, whom he’s reportedly been dating for a few months. (This isn’t the first time they’ve been linked – Us Weekly mentioned it back in November, around the time this was in People.) Lindsay Price is on Lipstick Jungle, but you might remember her better from the Season Three episode Spoiler Alert:
Starpulse will be interviewing Josh sometime soon – if you have any questions to suggest, post them here. The interview has already taken place – it’ll be posted next week.
There are some new photos from Cobie’s upcoming movie The Slammin’ Salmonhere.
The Art Directors Guild announced the nominations for their 2008 awards (which will take place in February) – HIMYM’s production designed Steve Olson was nominated for the episode Miracles. (Olson has won five Guild awards, none of which were for HIMYM, though his work on the show has been nominated every season. He also has three Emmys – one per season – for his work on HIMYM.)
Jason Segel’s upcoming movie, I Love You, Man has had its release moved from January 16 to March 20.
The 2008 World Magic Awards, which Neil Patrick Harris hosted a while back, will air this Wednesday on MyNetworkTV. The LA Stage Blog posted a photo of Neil at the recent Ovation Awards.
Bob Saget’s new sitcom may never see the light of day now that Media Rights Capital has lost control over the CW’s Sunday night lineup.
Fun with numbers: Based on data from tvbythenumbers.com, last week HIMYM was the third most-watched half-hour comedy on network TV (behind Two and a Half Men and Worst Week). It had the second-best 18-49 numbers (behind Men, and tied with The Office) and the second-best 18-34 numbers (behind The Office, tied with 30 Rock).
[What can I say? The show took a week off and so did I. A lot of you are waiting on emails right now - you'll get a response this weekend!]
Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Segel don’t want you to vote. [Thanks to Jack Attack.]
Industry business: Some information about the studio’s efforts to promote the show for local-market syndication, and an article about CBS
NPH faced the dunk tank on Ellen on Tuesday – for every celebrity dunked, Microsoft gave $10,000 to Ellen for the Cure. Other NPH things I don’t have any video or photos for: He was at the premiere of a Criss Angel/Cirque du Soleil show tonight, and apparently he dressed as a British magistrate for the Playboy Halloween party.
Neil Patrick Harris will provide the voice of the villain in the upcoming game Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. (Matt Hazard will be voiced by Will Arnett.) You can see him talk about his character here (it’s the fourteenth segment on the timeline), and he was in this promo for Game Trailers TV.
TV Guide got a quote from Carter Bays about Alyson’s pregnancy.
You guys, I will be so glad when Monday’s episode airs and I can stop treating every scrap of information about the episode like it’s a major spoiler. But since it hasn’t aired yet: Two batches of links! The first batch contains no Shelter Island spoilers.
Jamie-Lynn Sigler has signed on to play Jillian in 4.08. Spoiler level: Nothing new for those of you who read yesterday’s post, nothing major for those of you who didn’t. He just does the whole “Sigler will play Jillian, who is…” thing, and it’s a) not entirely correct, so far as I know, and b) not very spoilery at all.
Jason Segel will be on Live with Regis and Kelly on October 27. [Thanks to Shermie for the tip.]
Sarah Chalke will be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on October 22.
A self-employed prestidigitator [look it up] named Neil Harris contributed to No on 8. [Proposition 8 would undo California's legalization of gay marriage.]
Auction! A TiVo HD, signed by Neil Patrick Harris [and some other celebrities from Stand Up To Cancer, which is what the auction is for]. It comes with a year’s subscription to TiVo.
And everything in the second batch contains some degree of spoiler for the episode:
Watch With Kristin analyzes the various relationships on the show. Quotes from the cast and some spoilers for 4.05, 4.07 and 4.08, but none of them are new.
Neil Patrick Harris will appear on an episode of the next season of Sesame Street. He plays the Shoe Fairy – no word on when the episode will air, but the new season starts on August 11. You can see a clip, where Neil sings a song about shoes, here.
Neil is on the list of celebrity guests for IESB’s Comic Con party – the only way to get a ticket is to attend the Masters of the Web panel, where they’ll be giving away a very limited number of passes. The panel’s on Thursday at 10AM in room 32AB, for those of you who’ll be at Comic Con and want to try your luck. More information and the full guest list here.
As for the actual Comic Con schedule, NPH looks to be a very busy man: the cast of Dr. Horrible will be at the Joss Whedon panel (Friday, 1:30, Ballroom 20), and there’s a Harold and Kumar panel as well (Sunday, 12:00, Ballroom 20).
They’ll also be screening Dr. Horrible in its entirety – Friday night, 10:45, room 6B.
Josh Radnor:: Josh called up the Baltazar and Maria show on MOViN 99.7, and appeared on this week’s Ausiello Report vodcast – if you’re concerned about Lost spoilers, Josh comes in at the 1:15 mark.
And now, a question for you guys – I’ve been posting a lot of Forgetting Sarah Marshall news and media. I try to narrow it down to the Segel-heavy stuff and avoid repeating the same junket interview fifty times – still, with the premiere last week and the release coming up, there’s been a lot of FSM stuff around. How much is too much for your taste?
