A two-minute clip from tonight’s episode:

And BuddyTV interviews Josh Radnor and Sarah Chalke – once again, if you don’t already know what 405 is about, the spoilers are pretty big.

• According to Just Jared, Josh Radnor is in the October issue of the LA Times magazine – it’s unclear whether it’s just that one quote or if there’s a full interview. Anyone got a copy handy?
• Television Without Pity interviewed Craig Thomas. It’s a great interview, lots of information – if you’re concerned about spoilers, I would say it’s safe. He does talk about upcoming episodes, but it’s all very general, and the most specific he gets is saying who Jason Jones will play.
• New photo of Neil.
• You have until Saturday to apply to join the Evil League of Evil. MTV.com has an article on the process.
• On October 24, Neil Patrick Harris will participate in the unveiling of Harry Houdini’s renovated star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
• CBS is testing out an interactive video site – basically, while watching full episodes online, you can comment on them with others who are watching, compete in trivia contests, and throw tomatos at (or blow kisses to) the characters onscreen. Currently the only episode available (for all of CBS, not just How I Met Your Mother) is The Best Burger in New York.
• BuddyTV has put up the next video from their set visit a few weeks ago – this one’s a Jason Segel interview.

Going rapid-fire with this, because six posts in a day is ridiculous enough as it is:

• More syndication talk for those who find it interesting, more analysis than new information.
• BuddyTV visited the set.
• Bid on a walk-on role on the show, along with the chance to meet the cast and get some signed goodies.
• SheKnows interviews Neil Patrick Harris.
• Interview with Nicholas Stoller that clarifies the relationship [or lack thereof] between Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Five Year Engagement, and Get Him to the Greek, plus a Muppet mention.
• Great video of the cast at last week’s CBS premiere party. [Thanks to Meg!]

• Although Twentieth Century Fox will continue to make syndication deals over the next few months, the major markets are taken care of. [Variety]
• If you’ll be home Friday morning, prepare yourself for a lot of TV watching – Neil’s going to be on Ellen, and Alyson’s on Bonnie Hunt’s new talk show.
• There’s a new trailer out for the upcoming game Saints Row 2 – it showcases the game’s celebrity voice actors, including Neil Patrick Harris. [Kotaku]
• Neil might be the narrator for Disney World’s Candlelight Processional for a few shows in early December.
• The A.V. Club interviewed Neil.

AfterElton has a five-page interview with NPH about his Out interview, gay celebrities, the diversity of his career, Harold and Kumar, and dealing with the media.

You can read it here. It covers a lot of ground – if you had any reservations about the standalone episodes, this will hopefully put your mind at ease. Also in the interview:

Also, if you’ve been concerned about Barney getting defanged, this S4 promo [no spoilers whatsoever] wants to reassure you:

1. Neil and Sarah Chalke will host the Creative Arts Emmys. The ceremony is on September 13, but it’ll air on E! on the 20th.

2. Neil will be appearing on the September 5 Stand Up To Cancer telethon [airing simultaneously on CBS, NBC, and ABC], possibly as one of the stars answering calls from viewers.

3. Neil will appear on Letterman this Wednesday, August 27.

4. Jason Segel was quoted in an article about bromances.

5. Neil won Best Actor in a Comedic Television Performance at the Golden Icon Awards.

6. Jason Segel and his wild mane are in the September issue of Marie Claire.

7. If Bob Saget had to pick a new Danny Tanner, it’d be Josh Radnor.

8. Gloria Calderon Kellet won the ALMA for Outstanding Writing for a Television Series, for the episode “How I Met Everyone Else.”

9. CBS released the official description of 401, for those of you who don’t want to read anything more spoilery than the one-line network description.

10. The TV Addict talked to Carter Bays about the Emmys, standalone episodes, and whether he has concerns about Jason Segel. [He doesn't.]

I take great comfort in the fact that all of my favorite shows in the past never got nominated and I’ll continue to do so until we do get nominated. At which point I’ll disavow any statement like that and say that the Emmy Voters always get it right

11. Neil and Josh were at the Hot in Hollywood benefit [NPH arriving, I haven't seen any Josh photos] and performed a raunchy version of “Puff, the Magic Dragon” ["Ruby, the Magic Unicorn"], guided by suggestions from the audience.

• Neil Patrick Harris on NPR’s Fresh Air [August 1]
• A clip from Buffy: The Animated Series, which never made it to air, appeared on YouTube – Alyson Hannigan voices Willow.
• Jana Rugan and Timothy Russo, the couple who got engaged during the taping of Something Blue, got married. [Thanks, Carrie!]
• Josh and Neil are scheduled to perform at this year’s Hot In Hollywood AIDS benefit on August 16 – you can get a feel for the event and, if you’ll be in LA, ticket information, here.
• Neil’s episode of Sesame Street will air on August 12, according to UPI. In addition to the already-posted clip from the episode, he can be seen headbanging with Elmo in this celebrity promo for the new season.
• There’s a decent chance we’ll see a Harold and Kumar 3.
• Gloria Calderon Kellett has created a web series called Get Ripped.
• Hallmark has signed a deal that will allow it to make greeting cards featuring certain Fox properties, including HIMYM. I’m not positive that the new line of cards will include HIMYM designs, but they have the option now, so we could be seeing some in the next month or so.

Last minute, I know – NPH will be on The View today. 10 AM, ABC.
