Ratings for 3.17, The Goat

From PIFeedback:

CBS finished third in total viewers and second among adults 18-49 with its combination of The Big Bang Theory (Viewers: #4, 8.16 million; A18-49: #2t, 3.0/ 9), How I Met Your Mother (Viewers: #4, 8.87 million; A18-49: #2, 3.8/10), Two and a Half Men (Viewers: #3, 12.86 million; A18-49: #2t, 4.7/11), Rules of Engagement (Viewers: #4, 10.39 million; A18-49: #2, 3.9/ 9) and CSI: Miami (Viewers: #1, 13.59 million; A18-49: #1, 3.9/10).

That’s up from last week’s 8.52 million. [CBS will announce their decision about the show's future at their upfronts on May 14. They could break the news before then, but that's the latest possible date that we'll know.]

Still no post-ep releases from CBS – to tide you over until episode clips and Barney’s blog update hapoen, though, here’s a look at the script for the scene that was mentioned in the spoilers but cut from the episode – Barney tries to tempt Ted into sleeping with his fake girlfriend.

Clips from The Goat

Beginning of the episode, Barney and Robin in the aftermath:

Barney tells Marshall, and asks him to find a loophole in the Bro Code – this is the TV.com clip that was posted a few days ago, but with an extra minute and a half at the beginning and an extra minute at the end:

Promo for 317: The Goat

Well, this should answer any lingering questions you had about the end of last night’s episode. The quality is lacking, I know, but I figured you’d all rather see a a camera recording of the TV rightthissecond than wait for a perfect one. [Once there's a better version available, I'll be posting that.] ANYWAY, ON TO IT:

Google It: Spoiler Suit Up!

For the second installment of Google It, we’ll be helping out all those people who came looking for The Goat and Rebound Bro spoilers.

The last big spoiler post I did [back on April 10] included the Barney/Robin hookup, but I’m afraid there’s nothing quite so earth-shattering this time: The show’s being pretty careful about keeping wherever that pairing is headed.

Here’s what we do know.

[Spoiler level: They're fairly detailed summaries of the basic plots of the episodes, but I've got nothing about how the episodes are resolved. If these were spoilers for Swarley, you'd know all about Marshall and Chloe and the Crazy Eyes and Barney's nickname and how uncomfortable Lily was with Marshall dating again, but not that Marshall and Lily got back together.]

I would not even be posting it were it not for the fact that the article basically confirms the major 317 spoilers from this entry. Get psyched, kids.

MAJOR Spoilers for Upcoming Episodes

First off: As you may have seen in the sidebar, 3.17′s title is The Goat – you may remember that in the Season One episode “Milk” (which takes place on Ted’s 28th birthday), Ted says he has a story about a goat in his bathroom on his thirtieth birthday – well, it’s coming up.

Behind the jump: Small spoilers for 3.15 (The Chain of Screaming), medium spoilers for 3.16 (Sandcastles in the Sand), and HUGE spoilers for 3.17 (The Goat).
