I know there’s been some debate about how the scheduling would work out for November sweeps - October 27 will be a rerun of Sandcastles in the Sand, meaning that Happily Ever After (the last episode before the standalones kick in) will be the first episode aired during sweeps.
Also, Sarah Chalke was on the Early Show- no new information, but she does talk about the show:
And Letterman last night, where there is literally no mention of HIMYM until the last few seconds, but hey, why not:
I’ve been told by Jennifer that the HIMYM Emmy screeners for Outstanding Comedy Series have gone out! Screeners are DVDs that the studio sends to Emmy voters to familiarize them with the shows that are up for nomination - the episodes they’re submitting for consideration from this season are Ten Sessions, The Bracket, How I Met Everyone Else, and Sandcastles in the Sand.
This year’s Emmy nominations will be announced on July 17.
Thoughts? Personally, I think it’s a good selection that shows the range of the show nicely, but I’m a little surprised that Slapsgiving didn’t make the cut.
Extended version of the E! video that was posted on Friday - lots more Beek.
While we’re on Watch with Kristin, yesterday she posted a couple of spoilers that you could’ve gotten here a week ago. Oh well. [And speaking of spoilers, look for a special edition of Google It later today - apparently after last night, plenty of people are after 317 info?]
CBS opened the evening on a disappointing note, with should-be-addictive The Big Bang Theory at just 7.51 million viewers (#4) and a 2.9/ 8 among adults 18-49 (#2) at 8 p.m. Next was How I Met Your Mother (Viewers: #3, 8.52 million; A18-49: #2, 3.7/ 9), which built by a hefty 28 percent among adults 18-49, followed by the always reliable Two and a Half Men (Viewers: #2, 13.28 million; A18-49: #1, 4.9/12) and Rules of Engagement (Viewers: #2, 10.63 million; A18-49: #1, 4.1/10), which held a comfortable 84 percent of Two and a Half Men’s adults 18-49 rating.
Up from last week, which is great - I’d feel a ton better if we could stay above nine million, though. Maybe Harold and Kumar will help with that - next Monday should be a pretty Barney-centric episode.
Apparently Barney’s got too much going on this week to put much thought into imparting his wisdom, because this week’s blog entry is mostly just a link to the video. The CBS video seems to be down, here’s the MySpace copy:
By the way, CBS picked this for their official description of tonight’s episode: “Barney, in his own inimitable style, helps Robin realize that she is awesome.”
TV Appearances:: You’ve already missed it if you’re on the East Coast, but some of you can catch NPH on Regis and Kelly at 9 this morning. Jason is on Ellen at 4 [catch some if his appearance at ellen.warnerbros.com], and of course, Sandcastles in the Sand airs tonight. Speaking of which, here are some photos from the episode.
IGN has a great article about the return of Robin Sparkles here. They talk to Cobie, Jason Van Der Beek, Alan Thicke, Carter Bays, and Tiffany, plus there are some great photos from the video.
E! goes behind the scenes at the video shoot - they talk to Cobie and JVDB.
Dawson himself has some things to say about his character - and photos of his two looks - at his official site.
And here’s two more behind the scenes videos from CBS:
