• Variety’s Q&A with Carter Bays and Craig Thomas has been posted. Between that and Cleveland Magazine’s interview with Carter Bays, there’s a lot of talk about how much of the show is based in real life. [There's an extension of the Cleveland interview here - to see the video, you'll have to be logged out of Facebook.]
• USA Today ran a story about the mystery surrounding the mother, with some input from Josh Radnor and Craig Thomas.
• Rob Owen of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette answered a question about Marshall’s wardrobe.
• NPH-Fan.com has photos of Neil at the premiere of Criss Angel’s Believe last weekend.
• The soundtrack to Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is currently only five dollars on Amazon, but I hear that’s just for today.
• Audible is offering eight minutes of The Bro Code as its free listen for the week.

As commenter JB pointed out in the post-ep for Intervention, Claudia was indeed played by Virginia Williams, the same actress who played her in S1. I got my information from the CBS press release for the episode, which says Claudia is played by Michelle Gunn, but the end credits say it was Virginia Williams. (Michelle Gunn actually played Mrs. Abergast - the mother of Lily’s student who got Ted’s letter by mistake.)

• A clip from Buffy: The Animated Series, which never made it to air, appeared on YouTube - Alyson Hannigan voices Willow.
• Jana Rugan and Timothy Russo, the couple who got engaged during the taping of Something Blue, got married. [Thanks, Carrie!]
• Josh and Neil are scheduled to perform at this year’s Hot In Hollywood AIDS benefit on August 16 - you can get a feel for the event and, if you’ll be in LA, ticket information, here.
• Neil’s episode of Sesame Street will air on August 12, according to UPI. In addition to the already-posted clip from the episode, he can be seen headbanging with Elmo in this celebrity promo for the new season.
• There’s a decent chance we’ll see a Harold and Kumar 3.
• Gloria Calderon Kellett has created a web series called Get Ripped.
• Hallmark has signed a deal that will allow it to make greeting cards featuring certain Fox properties, including HIMYM. I’m not positive that the new line of cards will include HIMYM designs, but they have the option now, so we could be seeing some in the next month or so.

By now I’m sure you’re all aware that lilyandmarshallselltheirstuff.com is a real site set up by the show to benefit LA Children’s Hospital - the auctions run for another ten days, so bid soon and you, like Ted, could attempt to pull off a pair of red cowboy boots.

As for guyforceshiswifetodressinagarbagebagforthenextthreeyears.com, Rorgg at TWoP has posted a near-complete translation of the song playing on the site. [FYI, the French-speaking voice is Carter Bays, and the photos are of two people who work on HIMYM.] You can download the song here.

CBS just put out this new promo - they say the song is by “cult indie rock band The Spectacals,” but apparently “cult indie rock band” is code for “two dudes who get paid to sing songs about CBS shows.” Anyway, if you’re looking to download the song, it’s available on their MySpace.

NPH talked to the LA Times about butlers, Doctor Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, nightlife, and aging.

For my 30th birthday party my friends threw me a treasure hunt. I was sort of kidnapped by my friends and thrown in the trunk of a car. All day I had to accomplish tasks. . . . It was the coolest day of my life.
