Christmas episode! Spoilers after the jump.
Robin, as usual, is staying in New York for the holidays, and without a boyfriend or a job to distract her, she’s feeling extremely homesick. Marshall takes her to the Muskie Lodge, a Minnesotan bar in New York, and she ends up getting along really well with Marshall’s friends there – a little too well. Marshall’s jealous when Robin starts getting all the attention by pretending she’s from Minnesota too.
Also in New York for Christmas: Ted’s little sister Nancy, who has just graduated from college and is looking to move to the city. Ted’s incredibly overprotective of her and makes a point of telling Barney to leave his sister alone – something that’s made more difficult when Nancy says she wants to get her foot in the door at a big bank.
