Spoilers for 412 - Little Minnesota

Christmas episode! Spoilers after the jump.

Robin, as usual, is staying in New York for the holidays, and without a boyfriend or a job to distract her, she’s feeling extremely homesick. Marshall takes her to the Muskie Lodge, a Minnesotan bar in New York, and she ends up getting along really well with Marshall’s friends there - a little too well. Marshall’s jealous when Robin starts getting all the attention by pretending she’s from Minnesota too.

Also in New York for Christmas: Ted’s little sister Nancy, who has just graduated from college and is looking to move to the city. Ted’s incredibly overprotective of her and makes a point of telling Barney to leave his sister alone - something that’s made more difficult when Nancy says she wants to get her foot in the door at a big bank.

Interesting… Robin and Marshall don’t usually have a lot of one-on-one interaction, so this could be fun.

Wait, Ted’s sister just finished college? Didn’t he mention that she was married to a guy he didn’t like? Also…if she is 8 years younger than him it does NOT make sense that they formed a detective club together. So what, the Mosby Boys were solving mysteries (ha) when she was 8 and he was 16 or something?

I can’t explain away the husband issue, but the script calls her twenty-something and makes it seem pretty plausible that she wouldn’t have gone down the standard degree-by-22 path. [Example: She once ran away from home to join an internet religion.]

God, sometimes I hate myself when I think what’s coming on the show. The other day I was like “Now Ted’s gotta hook up with someone from Barney’s family or viceversa and we’ll have de-broing again!”

And look at it, I’m awesome.

Isn’t it also possible that Ted has more than one sister? Or has this been debunked?

So I guess in ”benefits” Barney didn’t tell Robin how he feels **sighs** if he did there would of been someting done about it…aww well theres still time

I also remember Ted mentioning that his sister was married. I always though she was older than him. Her being younger and single kind of crushes the continuity of the show. Oh, what am I saying, the continuity has been already crashed by Robin not talking to her dad for three years. *le sigh*

Well, marriage can be undone. And wasn’t it Ted’s cousin that he was talking about?

Marcy, what do you mean about the continuity being ruined by “Robin not talking to her dad for three years”?

i think ted has more than one sister… wasnt it his sister he went to one christmas episode (i think in season 2) where he called lily a “grinch”…? she was married.
