HIMYM Goes Liter-[wait for it]-ary, Craig Thomas talks Robin/Barney

Awesome news – the Chicago Tribune talked to Craig Thomas, and he says he and Carter Bays [along with Matt Kuhn, who wrote Slapsgiving and Columns, as well as Barney's blog] are currently writing the Bro Code as a book that will be published this November.

There are some low-level spoilers as well – he talks about Stella as a potential mother, why they decided to go the Robin/Barney route, and how much attention they’ll be giving that story when the show comes back.

Apart from the book news, it is, as usual, Alan Sepinwall who asks all the right questions – his interview with Craig Thomas is a must-read if I’ve ever seen one. There’s a little bit of what everyone will be up to when the show comes back [for example, how Marshall and Lily will play into the Ted/Stella and Barney/Robin stories that the finale set up], the future of the goat [and whether Robin will really be living with Ted when we hear the story], and how to make Barney/Robin work without defanging Barney or making Robin look ridiculous.
