Bad news first! The ten Emmy finalists in the Outstanding Comedy Series category have been announced, and HIMYM did not make the cut. [We lost out to Two and a Half Men and Family Guy, which...no.] This is a new move for the Academy, but don’t expect to know about any of the other categories until the nominations themselves are announced.

Now, some bits of good news - we have official confirmation of the September 22 premiere, Amazon is currently offering S1 and S2 for half off [along with a ton of other shows], and, while everyone knows that there are very few things with less relevance than the Teen Choice Awards, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is up for Choice Movie Bromantic Comedy, Jason Segel is up for Choice Movie Breakout Male, HIMYM is up for Choice TV Show Comedy, and NPH is up for Choice TV Actor Comedy.
