In Case You Missed It…

It’s the little things that make me love this show. Continue reading →

Tonight: Miracles [Season Finale]

Official summary from CBS:

When Ted is in an accident, he re-evaluates his life and relationship with Stella.

You can read everything that’s been posted about the episode with this tag, or just check out this post, which has the bulk of the spoilers.

If you’re in the Los Angeles area, you might want to consider attending this unofficial finale party at Bamboo.

Craig Thomas Interview

Not to be outdone by the TV Squad interview with Carter Bays, Zap2It and Craig Thomas got together for a talk. Once again, Thomas gives you a lot of information and a lot to think about without giving any specifics away - it’s a great read, especially this:

Tell me, do you have the whole mother thing mapped out at this point, or are you still debating in the writers room?
We know what we’d like to do. We’ve had a plan since the pilot and we actually shot a little piece of it at the beginning of season two, using the kids, because we knew if we waited until the finale of the series, the kids would have aged like six years. So yeah, part of our plan for how we want to end it all has already been done.

Full interview here! He also answers the Barney/Robin question - will the show touch on that pairing again, or are they done with it?

TV Squad talks to Carter Bays

TV Squad has a great interview with Carter Bays up - he talks a lot about the extent to which they’ve got the future of the show mapped out, that whole “did they just reveal the mother?” prop thing, the switch from Alicia Silverstone to Sarah Chalke, how the strike affected HIMYM’s storylines, and a bunch of other stuff.

NPH Roundup

Calendar: Neil will appear as a guest co-host on Live with Regis and Kelly on May 23rd when they do a special episode about off-Broadway shows. Neil will also be presenting at the Obies tomorrow night - they’ll be streamed here.

Dr. Horrible: The LA Times asked Joss when we could expect it:

We’re dropping in the last effects and color-timing it right after upfronts, and then I’ll be talking to people about how we can put it out. I would like to monetize it so I can not only say, ‘Look, I can tell stories,’ but people can be paid.

Million Dollar Password: Neil’s going to be on an episode CBS’ updated, Regis-hosted version of Password. ET has a behind the scenes look, they talk to Neil at the 1:12 mark and again later in the video [you'll want to see his Regis impression].

And a 30-second promo with some Neil in it:

Alyson Video and TRL Photos

Whedon.info has a ton of HQ photos from Alyson’s appearance on TRL last Tuesday.

This video’s old news [it aired the morning of Everything Must Go, so there's a lot of Abby discussion], but if you jump ahead to about two minutes in it’s worth watching. There are some very mild finale spoilers, nothing you wouldn’t get from the official CBS one-line descriptions of the episode, though:

Web Extras from 3.19

By now I’m sure you’re all aware that lilyandmarshallselltheirstuff.com is a real site set up by the show to benefit LA Children’s Hospital - the auctions run for another ten days, so bid soon and you, like Ted, could attempt to pull off a pair of red cowboy boots.

As for guyforceshiswifetodressinagarbagebagforthenextthreeyears.com, Rorgg at TWoP has posted a near-complete translation of the song playing on the site. [FYI, the French-speaking voice is Carter Bays, and the photos are of two people who work on HIMYM.] You can download the song here.

And this week in Barney’s Blog, he educates some poor ignorant loser named Med Tosby.

Season 3 DVDs: Release Date and Pre-Order

According to Amazon, Season Three will be released on DVD on October 14! They’ve got it available for pre-order for $27.99. Keep in mind that although the final product could resemble it, this isn’t the official DVD cover.

Craig Thomas: Says a lot, gives very little away.

The Chicago Tribune talked to Craig Thomas about Stella, the strike, and the season finale. Continue reading →
