Episode 319 – Everything Must Go

“Everything Must Go” is the episode airing May 12, the last episode before the season finale.

Whether or not they’ve officially announced it, it looks like they’re definitely expecting to have Stella’s receptionist Abby back. More spoilers after the jump. Continue reading →

Google It: Spoiler Suit Up!

For the second installment of Google It, we’ll be helping out all those people who came looking for The Goat and Rebound Bro spoilers.

The last big spoiler post I did [back on April 10] included the Barney/Robin hookup, but I’m afraid there’s nothing quite so earth-shattering this time: The show’s being pretty careful about keeping wherever that pairing is headed.

Here’s what we do know.

[Spoiler level: They're fairly detailed summaries of the basic plots of the episodes, but I've got nothing about how the episodes are resolved. If these were spoilers for Swarley, you'd know all about Marshall and Chloe and the Crazy Eyes and Barney's nickname and how uncomfortable Lily was with Marshall dating again, but not that Marshall and Lily got back together.]

Site Update, IGN on Barney/Robin and HIMYM’s Future

First: If you’d like to follow updates to L-WFI via RSS, here’s the new URL.

Second: While most everything is in place, if you find anything buggy -bad links, missing images, messed up layouts – let me know! Leave a comment on any entry or email dary@legen-waitforit.com.

Third: IGN talked to Cobie Smulders about Barney/Robin. No spoilers – IGN at the time didn’t know the hookup was coming, and Cobie doesn’t give anything away.

“I think that they’re two characters that have a lot of sexual tension,” said Smulders of Robin and Barney. As for a potential romance between the two characters, she said, “I love Neil and I find him to be hilarious and working with him is awesome. I think it would be very interesting and I think they could come up with some very funny stuff, seeing those two characters together, just with their different personalities. It would also be very interesting to see a woman who lacks the wanting of having a commitment and Barney, who sleeps around like crazy, trying to do that. What would happen with that? How would that work out and would it work out and would they be serious about it? Would it be a fling? So it’s going to be interesting to see what happens.”

They also spoke to Carter Bays about the show’s chances for renewal and what they’ve got planned for [fingers crossed] next season. Read the full article here.

And We’re Back! Sort of.

In a nasty bit of timing, Dreamhost decided to freak out just after the improved legen- wait for it! went live, and the ensuing downtime was far more complicated than it needed to be. Anyway, twelve hours of downtime was more than enough for me, so I’ve settled for a bare-bones version of the site for now - pardon the 404 errors and broken links while I try to get everything up and running.

NPH on Howard Stern (Audio), Site News

NPH’s appearance on Howard Stern yesterday: right-click and save [Remember, the show airs on satellite radio and, as such, is uncensored - you've been warned.]

In site news, I’m switching the site over to WordPress, since I’ve had it with Blogger’s recent inability to publish posts in under twenty minutes. Expect some weirdness while the change happens, and a new layout when it’s all over.

Jason Segel Roundup

Jason’s movie I Love You, Man is filming at The Grove in Los Angeles today – Pacific Coast News Online has photos.

Keeping the rest of this short and sweet:

Jason on the positive reception for Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

“Judd has been slowly undressing me on camera for ten years.”

Same old same old about the full frontal, with some tidbits on Five Year Engagement and I Love You, Man at the end.

“Oh my God, I’m kissing this woman that I’ve fantasized about.” I was so caught up in the mental disbelief of it that I forgot to make the puppet die. So I’m kissing her and the puppet is [watching]. It was at that point that I realized, “[I’m] a weird dude.”

“We found that there’s a unique recipe in writing the male characters as though they were the typical female character and doing the same for the women—writing them as though they’re the typical male character.”

Interview with ABC News – Page 1 is lame, Page 2 is better.

And finally, PARADE interviews Jason.

NPH Roundup

NPH clarifies that no, he does not hate [Stella's receptionist Abby]. Here’s video of him at NY Comic Con commenting on this issue:

And with that, L-WFI is done talking about Abby forever. I’ve been rooting for her for years, but just for the hell of it, all future entries will refer to her as Stella’s receptionist.

He was on Howard Stern yesterday. Film.com got five minutes with him.

He talked to MovieWeb about Harold and Kumar, mushrooms, and No Pants Day. [If you don't get to watch the video, you should at least know that NPH recommends sticking around until after the credits. And that he anticipates being pantsless for most of May.]

Cobie Smulders/Sandcastles in the Sand

Extended version of the E! video that was posted on Friday – lots more Beek.

While we’re on Watch with Kristin, yesterday she posted a couple of spoilers that you could’ve gotten here a week ago. Oh well. [And speaking of spoilers, look for a special edition of Google It later today - apparently after last night, plenty of people are after 317 info?]

The Bastardly has photos of Cobie at the Cool Comedy – Hot Cuisine party.

TV Guide has an interview with Cobie – check it out. Apparently “there’s another relationship in [Robin's] future.”

Ratings for 3.16, Sandcastles in the Sand

From PIFeedback.com:

CBS opened the evening on a disappointing note, with should-be-addictive The Big Bang Theory at just 7.51 million viewers (#4) and a 2.9/ 8 among adults 18-49 (#2) at 8 p.m. Next was How I Met Your Mother (Viewers: #3, 8.52 million; A18-49: #2, 3.7/ 9), which built by a hefty 28 percent among adults 18-49, followed by the always reliable Two and a Half Men (Viewers: #2, 13.28 million; A18-49: #1, 4.9/12) and Rules of Engagement (Viewers: #2, 10.63 million; A18-49: #1, 4.1/10), which held a comfortable 84 percent of Two and a Half Men’s adults 18-49 rating.

Up from last week, which is great – I’d feel a ton better if we could stay above nine million, though. Maybe Harold and Kumar will help with that – next Monday should be a pretty Barney-centric episode.

Video Roundup

From Sandcastles in the Sand – the gang meets Simon and Barney finds out Robin’s got a second video:

Robin hangs out with Simon and his band:

The video here’s unimportant, but the audio is Dracula’s Lament from Forgetting Sarah Marshall:

Jason Segel on Ellen:

NPH on Regis and Kelly, part one:

Part two:

This won’t embed, but you can see Jason on Entertainment Weekly’s “Just A Minute” here and here.

And a bit of audio – Jason called in to MOViN 99.7′s Baltazar and Maria show.
